AliMed® Amputee Wheelchair Surface and Universal Seat

AliMed® Amputee Wheelchair Surface is just right for post-op BK amputees. Standard version has a sturdy 1/2″ plywood base, is padded with 1″ of resilient polyfoam and is covered with black Naugahyde®. Premium version provides more cushioning with its thick gel layer. Attachment ties included. Both Standard and Premium fit 18″W wheelchairs.

Universal Amputee Seat allows support to be placed on the right or left side. May be extended safely to an additional 6″ for a longer leg. Extension also useful for children wearing fixed leg braces. Easily secures to wheelchair frame. Seat 16″D. Extension pad 10″D.

Specify Left, Right or Bilateral amputee.

Warning: Extended amputee cushions can be extremely unstable. Excess force or weight should never be allowed on the protruding, unsupported portion. Use extreme care in transfers. Consult your doctor or therapist in the use of these devices. Any ties attached to the cushion are intended to prevent the cushion from sliding in the wheelchair and are not intended as safety straps.
