Baseline® Pinch Gauge

Baseline® Pinch Gauges record thumb-finger prehension in pounds and kilograms. Maximum reading maintains until manually reset. Lightweight, rugged, anodized aluminum body. Strap goes around the examiner’s wrist.

For orthopedics and sports medicine, choose the 60-lb gauge. For weak or damaged hands, (arthritis, neurological problems) use the 10-lb model. For standard assessment, use 30-lb. model.

Annual calibration is recommended, and required for measuring instruments used at facilities accepting Medicare reimbursement (42 CFR 410.33) — more often if used daily, in research, or if dropped.
